SCOPE Trust is committed to ensuring a fair, transparent and responsible process for handling requests for refunds of donations, particularly as online and digital payment methods are increasingly used by donors.
SCOPE Trust expects all donors to exercise reasonable care and diligence while making a donation and to verify the donation amount and transaction details before completing the payment.
We understand that a donation may occasionally be made unintentionally, erroneously or due to an incorrect transaction. In such cases, SCOPE Trust may consider a request for refund and will make reasonable efforts to examine and process eligible refund requests.
SCOPE Trust may request additional information or supporting documents from the donor to verify the transaction and the reason for the refund request. The donor is expected to provide the requested information and cooperate with the verification process.
Discretionary Approval Notice:
SCOPE Trust does not guarantee that every donation refund request will be approved. Refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and SCOPE Trust reserves the right to decline a refund request at its discretion, particularly where a donation receipt or tax exemption document (such as 80G) has already been issued or where the donation has already been utilised or committed towards charitable activities.
⏰ Requests must be submitted within 24 hours
A request for cancellation or refund of a donation must be submitted within 24 hours of the successful completion of the donation transaction. Requests received after this period may not be considered.
Donors requesting a refund should provide sufficient transaction details (Transaction ID, UPI Ref, Payment Date, and Receipt request details) to help our team verify the transaction quickly.
